Schedule

The scientific program of the symposium will start June 3, 2012 at 6:00 PM and end Thursday 7, 2012 at 6.30 PM, followed by a farewell party.

The opening lecture on Sunday June 3, 6.30 PM will be given by Prof. C. Lieber (Harvard University), member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. A welcome party will follow the lecture. On Tuesday June 5, 9.00 AM Hellmuth Fischer Prize Ceremony including the award lecture will be hold.

In addition to the scientific program, the symposium will continue the tradition of the IFS to have a lively exchange of science with art covering the fields of music, literature, art history and visual arts.

Call for Contributions

The IFS is a Gordon-style conference with invited plenary lectures and oral contributed presentations (20 min), to be selected among the submitted abstracts. The conference schedule will also provide ample time for the presentation of poster contributions within two afternoon sessions. Posters will be on display throughout the entire symposium.

We invite you to participate in the symposium and encourage you to submit your scientific contribution until March, 2, 2012 via the online submission system.
